Be a Free Bird and Enjoy Life

Life, just a 4 Letter word, but difficult to describe in words. Some people call it Complicated, some call it Monotonous, some call it Adventurous, some call it challenging, some call it Boring, etc., etc. But what actually Life is, cannot be expressed in words either through writing or verbally, but if I have to describe it in one sentence Life is a sweet bitter pill (just like Gujarati food, you will have the taste of all the spices but at the same time also find the sweetness).

An incident that shook me and changed my perspective of life and assuring me that life is enclosed in an aura of uncertainty with no surety of the continuity into the next moment.  Whatever you have is, is this very moment, make the most of it and live it happily. It so happened that our regular tiffin supplier in his early 30’s,  came on his normal supply on one Wednesday and was standing to deliver the same, joking around but shortly after two hours a small gathering immersed in spell bound silence caught my eye and my feet immediately walked in anxiety to the place of occurrence. I could hardly believe what I heard about the sudden demise of the same tiffin guy within a span of just 2 hours. He died that evening because of heart attack. His laughing face just seen was continuously passing before my eyes and his chirpy face of afternoon was still fresh in mind and with this news suddenly dawned a dark image of him lying in the coffin, convincing me of the uncertainty of life. This immediately put a question in my mind: of how many of us knew to live life in full zest and gusto.

That was one point where I was actually made to think, that how many of us actually know how to enjoy life. It is sad that in these contemporary times, where man starts the day with a checklist with To-Do list and ends the time only for meeting deadlines and draining absolute energy at the end of the day. Pointless leading a life like this when cannot enjoy the leisure and pursue hobbies. While preparing for the time which they haven’t even seen they forget the comfortable present and let it go away and might repent later that then present which has now become past was so better. The basic problem with majority of us is that while we at present, we are either living in our past or future, but not in the present.

Life is too short and wasting time on bad moments and unhealthy experiences in life, is suicidal. Be happy whatever life offers you, at the end of the day either you achieve something or get a lesson to be learnt. Live your life happily by being in tight control of your choices and not living someone else’s choices, fulfill your dreams, be whom you really are, and pursue what you really love doing. Other’s opinions may be heard but don’t let them dawn on your inner voice. Might wonder, it is so easy to say but when you actually do it, then you would realize the level of satisfaction that it gives. I have always believed doing things what I felt is right and what my heart wanted me to do. In doing so, yes I do have my shares of ups and downs, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. However, at the end of the day, I feel happy at least I did what I wanted and had the courage to follow my heart and intuition without giving myself a chance to repent later for having not tried.

When I see people around cribbing about life, weeping over the past, I pity them. It’s an assassination of the time at present, as eventually nothing is permanent in life. Life goes on. And that is a fact. After every dry season, there is a good harvest.  After every dark night, there is a bright morning. After every spell of hopelessness, there is a new hope and after every failure, there indeed is a great success. So cheer up, smile at your problems and kiss them away happily because after that period there is a better day that awaits. Life will become so much easier, considering the fact that life is short and you don’t have time to mourn over spilt milk. Live afresh.

Somewhere I read that “Death is very likely the single invention, biggest invention of life. It clears out the old to make way for the new one. So whatever time you have got do not spend your life selling sugared water, instead be your own self and live life your way because your life is going to be some one else’s once you die.” Such is a very limited time you get to live on earth as a person whom you are born as. Every year, on January 4, when I wake up in the morning, I find myself growing with another year adding on to my age. I wonder the years I have spent on Mother Earth and how many more destiny gives me to stay amongst my loved ones and follow my dreams and fulfill my wishes. Life definitely is very Uncertain, you never know what holds next for you, that is why they say “Whatever it is Do it Today”, you don’t know what circumstances surround you the next moment. So what you have got is the Present, Now!!! So go ahead express your desires, do what makes you happy, be it shopping, dancing, traveling places, watching theatres, whatever you feel like doing, express your feelings to your loved ones, tell them how you feel about them, compliment the people if they do something good or look good, spread the happiness around with your beautiful charm and positive nature.  And then you will know how life starts following you and you become a challenge for the problems instead of problems becoming a challenge for you.

Here one line that every friend would say after hearing your problem, and that is ”Light le yaar, Chill maaar..…”

Zindagi sach mein Nai Milegi Dobara, jeeley issey khulkey!!!!
